Lido Di Ostia
The LIDO DI OSTIA , reachable by overground train from Magliana metro station on line B, has for many years been the number-one seaside resort for Romans. The beaches are OK, and have recently been cleaned up, but the town is on the whole a poor outpost of the city, with little, if anything, to recommend it - you’re probably better off making the slightly longer journey to Anzio or Nettuno if you want to swim. If you do come here, the water is most inviting along the coastal road between Ostia and Torvaianica, and there are nudist areas around the 8- or 9km marker.
